Zetor, Komatsu & Merlo to share Punchestown stage

9 Jan , 2017

Zetor, Merlo and Komatsu are to share the stage on the McHale Plant Sales stand at the forthcoming FTMTA Farm Machinery Show in Punchestown.

According to John O’Brien, sales director with the Birdhill and Rathcoole based distributor, pride of place will go to the 160hp, six-cylinder Crystal model – currently flagship of the Zetor range.

“The Crystal gives Zetor an offering in the heavy-duty segment of the market – an area where we previously had no presence. Since its introduction some months ago, we have recorded a number of notable sales, the first being to a farm in Co. Armagh,” O’Brien said.

With it at Punchestown will be the distinctive Komatsu WA320-7 wheel loader, fully-specified and fitted for agricultural applications. Equally at home in the grain store and silage yard as it is in the gravel pit or on the construction site, the muscular, brightly-coloured WA320-7 has been gaining significant ground amongst agricultural contractors in recent years.

Third in the McHale display will be a model from the Italian-made Merlo telehandler range. Finished in its distinctive, eye-catching green livery, Merlo too is being seen more frequently on farms around the country.
