Beyond its exceptional range of products, Scully Trailers is known for its knowledgeable and responsive customer service team, offering expert advice, timely support and comprehensive solutions to ensure a seamless experience for every customer.
“We take great pride in the quality of our machinery and stand over everything we sell. Everything comes with a 12-month warranty,” Niall says.
“We’ve earned an enviable reputation for quality over the past 20 years. We often give our customers a mini tour of our workshop to show them how our products are made and shot-blasted. We deliver the perfect mix of high quality, functionality and innovation with our products.
“While many of our products are sold through reputable dealers nationwide, I prefer a one-to-one relationship with the customer. It’s great if a farmer or contractor comes in to collect the trailer themselves. That way, I can go through everything with them and give them 45 minutes on the maintenance and upkeep of the product, and run through how to take good care of it. If you keep it well, it will serve you well.”
Scully Trailers provide farmers with a complete range of products for bale handling – from its well-tested elephant trucks to RSA-approved trailers. The Co. Kerry manufacturer’s range of trailers include bale trailers, bale trailers with hydraulic sides, dumper trailers, galvanised livestock trailers, livestock trailers, multipurpose trailers and bespoke designed trailers.
“Bale trailers with hydraulic sides are getting more and more popular,” Niall explains.
“Our 24ft and 28ft trailers can carry 22 bales and 28 bales respectively on a double row. There is also a strong demand for steer axles, full air suspension, and ball and spoon hitches.”
The trailers come with heavy-duty design, commercial axles, hydraulic brakes and a high level of LED lighting throughout as standard. Bale and flatbed trailers boast onspring suspension, spring drawbar, removable rails and strap box and hooks all around, with a choice of axles, wheels, rails, colours and either smooth or chequered floor.
Livestock trailers have an aluminium floor, sides, loading ramp and loading gate with galvanised dividing gate and slurry box as well as a front ladder and overhead walkway, with additional bespoke options including extra dividing gates, a choice of wheel sizes and axles, galvanised frame and extra-low options available.
Options available to farmers and contractors on the general purpose / grain trailers include bale extension, grain sides, hydraulic tailboard and again they can be finished in a choice of colours with a choice of wheels and axles.
Tried and trusted by farmers and contractors nationwide, Scully’s bale handlers are also available in a variety of colours, featuring heavy-duty construction and are designed to handle both wrapped round and square bales, always holding a firm grip in wet or dry conditions alike. Any type of loader bracket can be fitted and a double bale handler option is also available. Loader buckets are available from 4ft to 7ft, with loader pikes in 6ft, 8ft or 10ft variants.
Scully Trailers’ bale grabs / handler products include double elephant truck bale handler, double folding bale handler with removable paddles, double standard bale handler with removable paddles, rear high folding bale handlers, single folding bale handler, single standard bale handler, tine grabs and variable width bale handlers.
“We continue to hit the numbers every year with our single and double elephant truck bale handlers and our front folding single and double bale handlers sales. Our bale handlers incorporate a lot of galvanised components. They mightn’t be the cheapest, but they’re the best on the market!”
Scully Trailers can also manufacture log splitters to order and offers a full parts, servicing, repair and replacement service on a full range of trailer components including hydraulic rams and hoses, axles and suspensions, wheels and tyres, LED lighting and brakes / handbrakes.
Coming from a farming background has helped Niall to shape products that cater to the needs of Irish farmers and contractors. Niall trained as a fabricator so the products are best in class from an engineering point of view. He has also taken a leaf from the tractor manufacturer’s book and includes design details which elevate the products above the average offering.
The company is based on the family dairy farm where everything from fabrication, cutting and welding to turning, folding and painting is carried out in its state-of-the-art workshop. Niall is joined by a small, but dedicated and highly-skilled team who have contributed handsomely to the company’s growth and success.
Overall, Scully Trailers embodies a legacy of quality craftsmanship, innovation and customer-focused values, making it a leader in the agricultural industry, trusted by farmers and professionals for their diverse transportation, handling and feeding equipment needs.
