New features for Fendt IDEAL large combines

31 Jul , 2019

Unveiled to the public for the first time at Agritechnica 2017, the large Fendt IDEAL combine will get to prove its power in Europe this year in its second harvest season. It was launched in Brazil at this year’s Agrishow, and in September 2019, the first IDEAL combine harvesters will be delivered to customers there. For the European market, the large combine series will be expanded to include a new top-of-the-range 790 hp model. The Fendt IDEAL also now features IDEALDrive – the steering system without a steering wheel.

The Fendt IDEAL large combine series welcomes its latest top-end model: The new Fendt IDEAL 10, offering a max. power of 790 hp. Equipped with a new MAN 16.2-litre engine, it meets the European emissions standard, Stage V.

The Fendt IDEAL 10 features a new cleaning system and the Dual Helix separator, which customers will know from the Fendt IDEAL 8 and Fendt IDEAL 9. This combination increases throughput with the highest grain quality and lowest grain losses, increasing the area coverage of the new large combine.

Steering without a steering wheel

With the Fendt IDEAL 10, Fendt introduces the first standard combine in Europe to be operated entirely without a steering wheel.

With Fendt IDEALDrive steering, the machine is controlled proportionately to the movement of a joystick on the left, with all the same functions on the joystick on the right armrest. For easy access to the driver’s seat, the left armrest can be folded up.

The Fendt IDEALDrive steering system will be available exclusively on the Fendt IDEAL. It gives the best view of front threshing attachments and offers the perfect overview, even on the road. The unique system complies with all European vehicle and traffic regulations.

The Fendt IDEAL 10 can be ordered from July 2020, ready for the 2021 harvest.
