25 Nov , 2015

Established as one of the farming community’s leading manufacturers of sheds and buildings, Halcon Steel has grown from a modest start of three employees in 2000.

The company, under the stewardship of John Connell is celebrating its 15th year in business.  Based in Ballymote, Tuam, County Galway, Halcon now operates from a 36,000 square foot facility, and currently employs 19 full time staff in a variety of roles including technicians, engineers and product specialists as well as sales, administration and finance functions.

The company now operates across three core divisions: 1. Design and fabrication of structural steelwork, primarily for customers in the industrial and agricultural sectors; 2. Manufacture and sale of Steel Cladding Roof and Wall Systems; 3. Steel Roller Doors for the Agricultural and Commercial Sectors.

Steel Fabrication
Steel Fabrication is at the heart of Halcon Steel and is foundation stone of the company. From the largest dairy unit, to the smallest storage building, Halcon can help you design and fabricate any requirement.

Our experienced Engineers use the latest CAD technology to design requirements customised to each client’s individual requirements.  This is reflected in more than 300 sheds and buildings delivered in 2014 alone.  Each element of a built is overseen by Halcon’s experienced engineers whilst each steel piece is completed in house at the Ballymote facility.

Cladding
To augment their shed building capabilities, in 2007 Halcon expanded their core business to include cladding.  They now manufacture and supply all the cladding needs on company builds, as well as supplying external contractors.  Halcon have the capability of producing any cladding type, cut to measure, within 48 hours.  As well as being quick and easy to install, cladding from Halcon is versatile for use in any building, be it farm, commercial or industrial.

Steel Roller Doors
With a growing emphasis on farm safety awareness, the company expanded its product ranges to include a roller based door system.  The new system aims at replacing a conventional sliding door.  This has led to further investment at the Tuam facility to enhance manufacturing capabilities.  The result has seen many customers upgrading their basic shed structures to include a rolling door option.

Halcon Steel maintain an ongoing focus on quality and continuous improvement. The company are currently finalising the implementation of CE Certification as well as ISO 9000 approval.  John and the whole team at Halcon Steel are committed to providing quality products and service as well as providing the best value-for-money to our customers.
