1 Feb , 2024

Thinking of investing in a new building or upgrading an existing structure to save on energy costs in the future? If yes is your answer, then you need to have a chat with Frank Murphy and Daire Fegan of Aneuco Ltd.

Aneuco Ltd has quickly earned an enviable reputation within Ireland’s industrial and agri sector as specialists when it comes to roofing and cladding materials, along with supplying a growing extensive range of accessories such as Polycarbonate Roofing, Single Skin Sheeting, PVC Wall Panelling and much more.

The Co. Meath-based company supplies a comprehensive range of roof and wall cladding and associated accessories to suit all agricultural construction needs. Fibre Cement Corrugated Roof Sheeting, Insulated Composite Panels, Heatguard Polycarbonate Sheeting and a comprehensive range of Hygienic Wall Cladding materials, to name but a few, are all available within their extensive product range.

Frank Murphy, who set up Aneuco along with Daire Fegan in 2019, told Irish Tractor & Agri magazine that an extensive part of their product range is geared towards the farming sector. Daire said: “95% of our trade is on the island of Ireland, both north and south. We export as well to mainland UK but that is the smaller end of the business.”

Frank and Daire between them can boast a combined experience of in excess of 50 years in their chosen field of expertise.

“Initially, we would have supplied the external envelope of a structure such as the roof and / or the wall systems,” Frank explained, “but, more recently, due to customer requests and requirements, Aneuco now provides a full range of Purlins, Roof Lights, Storm Water Gutter Systems, Flashing and Fittings to suit all your requirements.”

Aneuco not only supply the full range of Roofing and Cladding, but also supply a range of PVC Hygiene Boards ranging from Single Skin Sheets along with Internal Wall Partitions in both a 35mm and 50mm Hollow Section Board up to a 100mm and 175mm Click & Pour Wall Casing that can be filled with concrete and used on both Internal and External Load Bearing Wall Structures.

The fact that both Frank and Daire have been supplying _ the building sector which has led to a close and trusting relationships being forged with their manufacturers and suppliers. This invaluable link with the manufacturer allows Aneuco to have quality products made to suit their customers’ requirements.

The progressive company’s motto is “covering all the options” when it comes to materials for pitched roofing, insulated panelling, rain-screen cladding, internal walls and ceilings. The motto has been well chosen; that is precisely what Aneuco does.

In recent years, Aneuco has helped introduce new and innovative products to the marketplace and this applies in particular to the agricultural sector where the products are improving and evolving to cater for customers’ needs. One such product is ‘Marlon CST Heatguard’ which is a Multiwall Polycarbonate Corrugated Roof Sheet.

Heatguard has been developed with an advanced heat reflective pigment, allowing high levels of natural daylight to be transmitted into buildings whilst significantly reducing heat transfer. The result is a bright building with a controlled and comfortable temperature internally which is beneficial to the wellbeing and productivity of animals. ‘Marlon CST Heatguard’ provides all the durability and impact resistance of corrugated polycarbonate sheet whilst the multiwall structure adds insulation and rigidity. It can be used as a complete roof covering or wall cladding material, or combined with fibre cement sheeting, ‘Marlon CST Heaguard’ is available in three pigment intensities to suit the customer’s requirements and in sheet lengths up to 5.3m.

Some of its unique benefits include:

• Up to 36% light transmission

• Heat reflecting pigment reduces solar heat gain by up to 68%

• Up to a 15-year warranty

Aneuco plays an instrumental role in introducing new and environmental products to the agri sector. Frank and Daire are both proud of the fact that they were the first to introduce a revolutionary concept to the construction of Wall Structures which is known as ‘Zeta Click & Pour PVC Wall Casings System’.

This unique system has been on numerous projects in the agri sector thanks to its smooth hygienic finish that requires no maintenance and also offers significant savings on labour and water wastage as it’s easily cleaned compared to conventional concrete surfaces. Daire explains that this product is not only environmentally effective in its daily use, but also its eco when it comes to how it is moulded as the producers make it from recycled window frames.

Commenting on the savings that can be made, Frank adds: “Instead of standing conventional shuttering pans that are heavy and slow to assemble, you just easily click the PVC Wall Casing Panels together like oversized Lego pieces.

“The unique design along with the innovative corner pieces allow you to fill the entire hollow core of the panels with conventional concrete and, if required, you can place reinforcing bars for additional strengths without the additional cost of having to tie or stabilise them due to this unique design.

“The other, and perhaps, most important advantage here is that this innovative form of construction gives a superior hygienic smooth surface on the outside while maintaining the structural strength of concrete that can also be load-bearing.”

Aneuco’s ZETA Click and Pour wall beats traditional constructed wall on all aspects, including constructional costs. In short, you are getting hygiene along with structural strength. It is very suitable for dairy farms, pig farms and poultry farms. The growing number of customers that have used ZETA find that the benefits are instantly clear because it saves on construction and labour costs. It’s a very fast fit product, it’s basically DIY, you don’t need specialist construction companies coming in and doing it, farmers can do the installation themselves.

The Zeta Click and Pour system is very easy to wash down too, saving valuable water and time, while dramatically reducing waste water.

Aneuco Ltd has come a long way since 2019 which begs the question: are there expansion plans in place for the future?

“We have a customer-base which is steadily growing year-on-year with a core number of repeat customers who are a vital part of having a stable business,” Daire continued.

“Despite the major difficulties that Covid brought upon all businesses in 2020 without warning, Aneuco continued to expand. And now looking back on the changes, the whole dynamic of business has changed and customers rely more on your guidance through having experience and good product knowledge.

“The other key factor is having quality products from a supply chain that you can rely on which thankfully Aneuco has by selecting only the best, but more importantly, providing customer satisfaction each and every time. That is the cornerstone on which Aneuco is built.

“Regarding our suppliers – some of whom we both know for well over 20 years from working in former companies – our close relationships have helped us to expand and maintain a loyal customer-base. Thanks to our suppliers, our product range such as Joriside’s Insulated Composite Panels, Brett Martin’s Heatguard Polycarbonate Roof Sheeting and SVK’s Neptunus Double Compressed Fibre Cement Corrugated Sheeting has become synonymous with our name.

“Our associated products include Deepstyle Storm Water Guttering, Single Skin Roof Sheeting and Flashings & Fixings, which account for 30% of our yearly turnover.”

Daire adds: “As it stands at the moment, we have approximately 20 suppliers that we use on a regular basis. Out of that, 16 of them are predominantly based in Belgium, Holland, Germany, UK and Ireland. There are always new products within those categories and supply chains, but we tread carefully, because it is vital to our customers and indeed to Aneuco that we retain absolute confidence in all the products that we supply.”

Frank says: “We at Aneuco are determined to always put customer needs ahead of a potential sale. We pride ourselves on spending time in discussion with our customers to ensure the right product is chosen for the job. If required, we carry out site surveys with product samples to ‘cover all options’.

“If there is a particular part of the project that Aneuco does not specialise in, we often give our customers recommendations on who would be best suited to carry out the work in their local area as we have regular contact with construction companies who specialise in the agri sector.

“We are grateful to have such a wealth of experience when it comes to roofing and cladding, and are only too willing to share this with our customers. Aneuco sources products directly from the manufacturers, thus ensuring the customer gets what they want and when they want it at very competitive rates.”

Turning his attention to the future, Frank is confident that Aneuco Ltd’s graph will continue on an upward trajectory.

“Both Daire and I are very optimistic for the future, having recently taken on a Sales Executive to cover more intensively the west and south-west parts of the country. Aneuco is flexible, we can move with the market requirements and ensure that all our products have the most up-to-date certifications to meet building regulations and current grant requirements. We move with the times.”

Frank and Daire get regular feedback from their customers and are delighted to report a very satisfied customer base. Here is a taste of the testimonials that Aneuco Ltd has accumulated to date:
