As seasoned experts in timber frame structure, E&C Fitzgerald are also active in the commercial and domestic housing sector. Commercial timber frames are a long established and continually growing sector for the company, which operates just 20 miles from Belfast. E&C Fitzgerald find speed and efficiency are particularly important in business contracts and strives to build on its long-established reputation.
Through its sister company Duraframe Ltd, the firm is able to supply quality uPVC windows and doors, enabling it to provide a more complete service at a competitive price. The close ties between the two companies allows for an all-inclusive service to be provided. uPVC doors and windows can be manufactured to specification and fitted at the same time as the building is being erected onsite. Duraframe offers great value-for-money, a quality and friendly service, and helps you through every stage of choosing the right windows and doors for your needs. As the need for windows in many types of Poultry Buildings continues to grow the ability to offer a one-stop shop for all is a major plus cutting down time on site and hassle for our customers.
“We are renowned for our quality domestic, commercial and agricultural timber buildings,” Eamon Fitzgerald says.
“Agri buildings, and specifically poultry and livestock housing, account for much of our business. We supply poultry housing such as broiler sheds, rearing sheds, egg-laying sheds, free range sheds and breeding sheds, to a wide range of clients, including Ballygarvey Eggs, Moy Park and Grove Farm and Manor Farm.
We can supply Clear Span Poultry Houses that are up to 70ft wide and resistant to the aggressive ammonia laden environment in poultry housing.
“We offer the full range of poultry housing, from the most basic and cost-effective timber posted house with timber external cladding to finishes which include buildings with metal clad or composite clad exterior finishes. There are lots of options available to suit every budget and requirement, while our after sales service is second to none.”
In addition, E&C Fitzgerald specialise in the refurbishment of existing agricultural units which eliminates the inconvenience and time lost in having to apply for planning permission. Its specialised teams can rejuvenate existing sheds by supplying and fitting uPVC windows and doors and totally re-insulating and replacing the roof (with poly-steel) and side sections (various cladding). All site operatives are fully trained in the removal of asbestos.
“Our refurbishment service meets all requirements for TAMS II grant aid,” Eamon adds.
E&C Fitzgerald are sole agents for selling and installing Valeron AVA in Ireland. The product Valeron AVA, is a complex multi-layered laminate of aluminium foil. It is installed as an internal lining under the roof of poultry sheds and is designed to reflect 95 per cent of radiant heat away from a building.
Being able to reflect the heat away from the poultry building helps limit heat stress on the birds in hot summer conditions, while the other property of keeping heat loss down within the building reduces cost and assists bird performance.
“Valeron AVA is a cutting edge, air-tight and durable radiant barrier developed partially to provide a lining material for improving the environment inside poultry houses,” Eamon explains.
“The laminate has two highly reflective aluminium surfaces that optimises energy usage, helping to keep poultry cool in hot weather and conserving heat in colder weather. There is no condensation on the roof and the litter quality is enhanced. Bird performance is also enhanced through improved airflow and ventilation.”
E&C Fitzgerald’s fully trained sales team can survey a proposed job and give detailed costs within a short timeframe. They will guide you through the design and installation stages and provide you with a free quotation / site visit to existing timber buildings, in addition to CAD plans and planning permission at no extra cost.
The affable company director concludes by saying: “We have built up an unsurpassed name for quality. While we’re price competitive, the quality of our materials and specialist teams gives us a distinct advantage over our competitors.
“Buildings we constructed 40 years ago are still standing and in use today. That says everything about the quality of our products and our workmanship. Like the poultry industry we have proudly supplied for two generations and produce long-term quality poultry housing while embracing innovative ideas and products. We offer our customers the best of materials and workmanship, allied with up-to-date technology and first-class service.”
