New addition to the Landini tractor range to debut at the FTMTA Grass & Muck Event

A new addition to the Landini tractor range will make its debut in Ireland at the FTMTA’s Grass & Muck Event, Gurteen Agricultural College, Co Tipperary on May 17.

The 110hp Landini 6-115H will be hot off the assembly lines at the Argo Tractors factory in northern Italy, where more than 70% by value of Landini models is manufactured, including front axles, cabs and transaxles.

Among the 44-225hp tractors now being assembled at the Fabbrico plant are the new 6-H Series of three mid-range models with 110hp, 119hp and 126hp engine outputs.

The newcomers slot into the range between the 99-113hp Landini 5 Series tractors, which donate their spacious but low-profile cab to the new models, and the 114-140hp Landini 6-C Series tractors, from which the heavy-duty transmission is sourced.

Together with a 3.6-litre compact four-cylinder engine, this combination of assemblies creates an appealing package, says Will Doyle, sales manager for the Irish market at distributor AgriArgo UK & Ireland.

“A combination of the heavy-duty transmission and back-end on a shorter wheelbase, the neat cab and the new high-performance engine make the Landini 6-H Series tractor a really interesting proposition.

“That’s especially so for livestock and mixed farms with a good workload for a tractor of this power who want something similar in size but more powerful and substantial than a 5-H Series tractor but one that’s not so big as the 6-C models.”

As standard, the new tractors are supplied with the Landini T-Tronic transmission and power shuttle, which serves up 36 forward speeds with three-step powershift for quick changes under full load.

Alternatively, buyers can opt for the simple Speed Four 12×12 or 16×16 creep configuration with power shuttle, or add creep gears to the T-Tronic unit to obtain additional ratios and ultra-slow speeds for specialist equipment such as a precision planter.

Ground-drive pto can be added to the standard 540/1000rpm installation, with 540/540E and four-speed pto with economy gearing for both speeds also available as options.

A disc-braked front drive axle is standard to ensure true four-wheel braking when heavy loads are carried on the drawbar or 6 tonne rear linkage, and the boosted brakes deliver max performance with relatively light pedal pressure.

Air-operated braking is available for trailed equipment towed from the standard hydraulic push-back pick-up hitch, and for maximum traction when things get slippery underfoot, a fully 100% locking front axle differential complements the rear axle unit and tyre sizes up to 38in.

In the roomy cab, operators get an air suspension seat, adjustable steering wheel, wash/wipe front and rear and an RDS radio with Bluetooth wireless connection and USB/SD media player all as standard.

Air conditioning and a transparent roof hatch complement the large windows, which includes a windscreen that extends right up to a slim header rail for maximum upwards visibility with a loader, and to complement the excellent all-round view from the tractor.
