Reid Engineering (Cookstown) Ltd are construction specialists, steel erectors, metal fabrication and cladding to the agricultural, commercial and industrial sectors based in Cookstown, Tyrone.
Established 35 years ago by Jackie Reid, the business has grown from humble beginnings to become one of the leading engineering firms in Northern Ireland.
These days, the company is being run by Jackie’s son Alan and his wife Lisa who have continued to deliver the high quality of work that the business has become synonymous with over the years.
The services provided by the firm include manufacture and installation, design and build, shuttering, cladding and crane hire.
“Over the years, we have developed an excellent reputation for efficiency, reliability, cost-effectiveness and safety, serving a wide range of customers throughout the UK and Ireland,” said Alan.
The company MD revealed that they have many long standing customers who have continuously brought their business to them.
“A lot of our customers would be with us years. We do a lot of agricultural work particularly in piggeries where JMW Farms are one of our biggest customers. We build a long lasting relationship with our clients and are proud of the reputation we have acquired through our various contracts.”
Reid Engineering employ 50 people between direct and sub-contractors, all of who have a great deal of experience and are highly skilled in their areas of expertise.
“There are lads here who have been with the company years now. We work well as a team from the design stage to completion, everything is done as a team. We place a huge emphasis on training and all our employees would hold industry recognised qualifications.

Reid Engineering have completed and are working on projects both in the north and south of Ireland, while their services are being used throughout mainland GB also.
