Strategically located 15 minutes from the A1 dual carriageway, Neville Fee Engineering Ltd is a certified supplier of CE marked structural steel to the requirements of EN 1090/1 to and including Execution Class 2 (EXC2), which covers the fabrication of all farm buildings and structural steel used in general construction. It is a legal requirement that fabricated structural steelwork delivered to construction sites must be CE certified.
“All our steelwork is CE marked, ensuring your steelwork meets the relevant building control standards. Anyone who isn’t CE certified shouldn’t be in this business. Farmers can’t apply for grant aid if they’re not dealing with a CE certified company. Also a lot of insurance companies won’t cover the buildings unless provided by a CE certified company,” Neville points outs.

“All of our farm sheds are fitted with 4-8 inch Hunter gutters which we buy off Ultra Building Supplies in Newtownstewart. The customer is our number one priority at all times. We always go out of our way to look after them because nine out of 10 of them will come back if you do a good job. We don’t advertise our buildings at all. The vast majority of our business is secured through word of mouth and recommendations from satisfied clients.”
Detailed drawings are produced for every job, from farm sheds to forecourts and warehouses, while Neville Fee Engineering Ltd can also liaise with architects and structural engineers. The Co. Down company’s quality control manager checks the plates and welds for each building produced to ensure the highest standards are met. “Looking to the months ahead, we have enough projects to keep us going until the end of the year. We are also looking into adding a few more CNC machines as workers are proving difficult to come by.
“Our main customers are dairy, beef and sheep farmers. They have been very loyal to us over the years. We’re also lucky to have good lads working for us. We’d be nothing without them.”
