For all your tractor and agri spares

16 Sep , 2015

Celebrating 25 years in business, Farm & Industrial Centre in Mallow, Co. Cork is a leading supplier of tractor and agri spare parts. The company’s goal is to offer customers a full range of quality spares at competitive prices, backed up by a superior customer service, expert product knowledge and after sales service.

Farm & Industrial Centre was established in 1989 by Denis Buckley, who is assisted in the business by his son Colm and sales executive Colm Cremin.

At the time, Mallow was a centre for sugar beet production. When the sugar plant closed in 2006 with the loss of 240 jobs, it was a huge blow to the local economy, but Farm & Industrial Centre had continued to go from strength to strength nevertheless.

Operating from the Old Erin Foods Complex, Farm & Industrial Centre prides itself on its excellent product quality and customer service. Denis and the two Colm’s possess outstanding knowledge about tractor parts and agricultural factors. They are only too happy to talk to customers and advise them on the product that best suits their needs.

Farm & Industrial Centre sells only quality and genuine spare parts, accessories and components for tractors and farm machinery. The company does not believe in purchasing lower quality products just to obtain a lower price – the hassle caused by inferior products is not worth the initial saving.

“We can supply anything from a bonnet for a Massey Ferguson 35X to a mudguard for a John Deere 6600. You name it, we have the part either in stock or will have it the next day,” Colm Cremin explains.

“Initially, our customers were mainly dairy and tillage farmers from around the Mallow area. But over the years, our name has grown and we’re now attracting customers from all over Ireland. They’re coming to us from as far away as Mayo and Donegal.”

The Farm & Industrial Centre product range is huge. Alternators, brake parts, hydraulic host parts, axle parts, filters, lights, linkages, beacons, hydraulic pumps, fuel pumps, tractor paints – they’re all stocked. There are parts to suits all the top tractor makes, including John Deere, Case, New Holland, Massey Ferguson, Deutz, Landini, Zetor, Renault Agriculture, JCB and Fendt.

The Cork-based firm deals with leading parts distributors such as Vapormatic, Quality Tractor Parts (QTP), Bepco Tractor Parts and McHugh Components. Vapormatic is a global company marketing one of the largest ranges of replacement tractor parts and accessories in the world and distributing products to a growing customer base in over 90 countries.

Vapormatic’s head office is based in the UK, with regional subsidiaries in Ireland, Spain, France, Germany, Mexico and New Zealand, all offering a comprehensive range of over 20,000 quality parts and accessories for all makes of tractor.

More than 20,000 items are available in its wide accessories range. Bepco products are manufactured to the highest quality standards.

McHugh Components, formerly McHugh & Kramp, was established in 1973 by Seamus McHugh. The Tallaght-headquartered company is an Irish-owned family business that is committed to providing a high quality level of service to its customers. McHugh Components are a leading supplier of parts to the agricultural industry in Ireland and, as such, have become known as ‘The Parts Specialists’.

Farm & Industrial Centre are main agents for FAB; PIX V Belts; Kranzle power washers, turbo nozzels and replacement lances; Jefferson compressors and air tools; Castrol oil and lubricants; Lucas batteries; Benzi PTO shafts; Bare-Co PTO shaft guards; Iskra starters. The company also supplies slurry adaptors for all makes.

Opening hours are from 8.30am to 5pm MondayFriday and from 9am to 1pm on Saturdays.

Colm Cremin has noticed a considerable pick-up in business this year that he attributes to last year’s fine summer, which provided a major shot in the arm for farming in this country.

“Many farmers were struggling to make ends meet in the first four or five months of 2013 because of the bad weather. There was a fodder shortage and they were forced to buy in extra food to feed their stock,” he says.

“But things have taken a turn for the better since last summer. The good weather produced a bumper harvest and last winter wasn’t too bad either weather-wise. The farming sector has made a good recovery and, as a result, farmers are spending more money which is obviously good news for a company like ours which relies so heavily on them for business.”

Farm & Industrial Centre is committed to delivering on its core values of quality, availability, value and service. Why not give them a call the next time you are looking for a genuine part? They will be delighted to do business with you!
