Lynch Form Construction  – synonymous with quality farm buildings

22 Jan , 2025

Lynch Form Construction Ltd in Ogonnelloe, Co. Clare is a one-stop shop for all your farm, industrial, domestic buildings and plant hire needs. From ground and concrete works to the supply and erection of buildings, the family-run business provides a complete service.

While the company has only been trading for five years, brothers and directors Pat and Joe Lynch have a wealth of experience in the sector, having both worked for their late father Joe’s farm buildings business, Joe Lynch Building Contractors, for many years before that. Lynch Form Construction offers a wide range of buildings which are manufactured to the highest standards and to your exact requirements.

Pat and Joe have the experience, knowledge and equipment to deliver farm buildings of any size, from slatted sheds and milking parlours to calf sheds and sheep units. They also specialise in silage pits, storage tanks and farm roadways. Quality workmanship, attention to detail, value-for-money and an unwavering commitment to Health & Safety and working closely with clients to deliver total satisfaction are the hallmarks of this fully-insured business. From concept to completion, the brothers are with you every step of the way, ensuring that your new shed is built and designed to your specific needs.

The company’s ability to complete projects on time and within budget is borne out by the high volume of repeat business and referrals it receives from satisfied clients. In addition, Lynch Form Construction is a certified supplier of CE marked structural steel to the requirements of EN 1090 to and including Execution Class 2 (EXC2), which covers the fabrication of all farm buildings and structural steel used in general construction.

Since July 2014, under the Construction Products Regulations (CPR), it has been a legal requirement that fabricated structural steelwork delivered to construction sites must be CE certified. Indeed, farmers can’t apply for grant aid if they’re not dealing with a CE certified company.

“We were predominantly farm buildings when we started, but the work is now a mix of farm and industrial buildings, house foundations, basements, raft floors and finished floors,” Pat explains.

“The farm buildings side of things has been quiet this year, but thankfully we’re very busy with other projects. We pride ourselves on our exceptional product and service. We have huge experience and the latest equipment to undertake any job from start to finish. While most farmers leave everything to us as it saves them time and hassle, we can cater for any part of the build, whether it’s just the concrete work or erecting.

“Whatever the client wants, we’ll do it for them.”

He continues: “We cover most of Munster, including Clare, Limerick, Tipperary and Cork. All of our work is secured through word of mouth and recommendations which speaks for itself.”

Only the best products and materials go into making a Lynch shed. The company’s main suppliers include Banner Steel, O’Dwyer Steel, Tomás Lynch, McGrath Quarries, O’Connell Quarries, Hogan Concrete / Roadstone, Ballyhea Readymix, Shane Foley Plant Hire, Croom Concrete, Christopher Nevin, Oliver Taaffe, McKeogh’s Hardware, Auto Roller and Condon Engineering, who manufacture products such as gates, neck rails, cubicles and crushes. It goes without saying that Lynch Form Construction enjoys an excellent relationship with all of its suppliers.

Business is flourishing for the second-generation builders whose largest project at the moment is an industrial build consisting of four different units with mobile racking for Lyonara Cold Stores in Mallow, Co. Cork.

“O’Dwyer Steel provided the sheds and steel, while we’re looking after the groundworks, plant hire and steel fixing,” Pat says.

“We’re also currently doing a slatted tank for Hogan’s Agri in Tuamgraney, Co. Clare and a new floor and grain shed in Fedamore, Co. Limerick as well as concrete and groundworks for a new indoor Astroturf pitch for our local GAA club in Ogonnelloe. Another recent job we completed was a concrete storage tank for a fire hydrant at ABC Nutritionals in Cratloe, Co. Clare. We’re always busy.”

Lynch Form Construction has an array of plant, including excavators, dumpers, tractors and trailers, to carry out work safely and efficiency. The fleet is maintained in house by Joe, who just so happens to be a mechanic by trade.

Pat and Joe are supported by one other team member, Eoin Keegan, who has been with them for the last 10 years and has been a big part of their success, while their sons Dylan, Ronan and Jamie also help out when they can. In summary, Lynch Form Construction is committed to providing a top-quality product and service at the most competitive price. All of the buildings are solid, secure, attractive in appearance and are built to last.

The brothers would like to take this opportunity to thank their customers and suppliers for their continued support.
