Quaile Machinery. Quality Products & Customer Care

12 Mar , 2020

With an extensive brand portfolio that includes Pottinger, Kubota, Scanstone, Dewulf, WIFO and Javo BV, to name but a few, it will come as no surprise to learn that Quaile Machinery’s mission is to sell quality products they believe in.

The ever burgeoning company was established in 2012 by Kenny Quaile. The company, initially trading as Agricare, has steadily expanded over the years and in January of last year changed its trading name to Quaile Machinery.

Based between Lusk and Skerries in North Co. Dublin, it is conveniently located just 15 minutes away from Exit 6 of the M1 motorway.

Managing Director Kenny developed a wealth of knowledge over 20 years of experience mainly working with John Deere tractors and machinery and in 2005 was the recipient of John Deere’s “Recognition of Service Excellence” award. Customer care is the cornerstone on which their reputation is built.

“The company was set up after the closure of a John Deere agency in the area,” Kenny explained to Irish Tractor & Agri magazine. “I had worked there for 15 years as Service Manager and the opportunity arose to go out on my own. I put a team of good people together and we started out with three employees as independent John Deere specialists.”

John Deere used tractor sales, parts and service remain an important part of the business but they have added a lot more strings to their bow in the last seven years.

“I was fortunate to have good customer base straight away – a lot of customers from the North Dublin area who I had built up relationships with during the previous 15 years. We concentrated mostly on John Deere repairs at the beginning but it was always the intention to add our own agencies. Pottinger was the first supplier we started with in 2013 and we have been growing steadily ever since. We employ seven today.”

As Kenny revealed, Quaile Machinery were appointed as Pottinger dealers six years ago and have had great success and support from Pottinger Ireland growing the Pottinger brand throughout their sales territory.

“We sell the Pottinger grassland and tillage machines and in our area the tillage machinery has been really impressive with sales of ploughs, disks and stubble cultivators increasing steadily every year.”

A year later the business grew again with the addition of the Kubota agency and a sales territory covering counties Dublin, Louth, Meath and Wicklow.

“We are finding the Kubota products to be really reliable and we’re looking forward to having a bigger range and higher horsepower tractors to sell in the future with some new machines to be launched at Agritechnica this year.  The customers who have changed to Kubota are very happy with the performance and reliability and it’s nice to see more of the orange tractors in the fields.”

In 2016 Quaile Machinery were appointed by Javo BV as service and installation agents covering all of Ireland.  Javo BV produce machines for automation of plant nurseries so the product range expanded the business into Horticulture and introduced new customers throughout the country.

Last year Quaile Machinery were appointed by Scanstone Potato Equipment as their sole dealer for the Republic of Ireland, and since then potato machinery has become a significant part of the business.

“The new Scanstone machines offer high outputs and lower running costs and we are very happy with how it’s gone with Scanstone so far. We did a lot of demos last year and the response was really good. Being able to support the growers is very important and we have a great team here with lots of potato machinery experience.

“New additions this year are Dewulf Miedema (planting and store equipment) and WIFO (box rotators) in Ireland,” Kenny revealed. “We also provide replacement parts including webs and tracks for all brands.  We have expanded a lot, particularly in the last two years. We’ve gotten into the potato machinery end of things in a big way in the last 12 months. John Deere repairs is something I didn’t expect to be busier at than ever seven years on, but our focus now is on building up and supporting the brands we sell.”

Open Monday to Friday (8.30am to 5.30pm), Quaile Machinery’s professional team of experienced people are dedicated to providing exceptional service for all its customers, big and small. The company was founded on the provision of quality service back-up and strives to deliver a first-rate sales and aftersales experience to its growing customer base for all products and services supplied.

“That is our roots, it’s where we come from. In my experience if you do the job right the first time the customer will come back. That’s how we’ve grown coupled with a very good team with a lot of experience and I’m fortunate to have such good people working here. I’m very optimistic about what the future holds for Quaile Machinery. We had a stand at this year’s FTMTA Farm Machinery Show for the first time and received a great response from those in attendance.”
