New Zetor Crystal begins to break ground

3 Feb , 2016

Zetor has re-staked its claim to a share of the heavy-duty tractor market with the news that sales of its new, recently-launched heavy-duty Crystal model have begun to take off.

First of the new models, which arrived into dealer showrooms only recently, has gone into service on a Co. Antrim dairy farm, sold by Zetor main dealer of over 30 years, Troughtons of Poyntzpass.

Reviving a model name originally made famous within the Zetor range between the years 1968 to 1987, the new 160hp, six-cylinder Crystal won the award ‘Best New Tractor’ in show at the recent 2015 National Ploughing Championships.

Features of the new model – identifiable by its new trade mark red wheels – include 30/30 forward / reverse transmission, three-stage torque multiplier, extended wheelbase and a more spacious, more silent, suspended cab with sunroof.

Said by Zetor distributor in Ireland, McHale Plant Sales of Birdhill and Rathcoole, to be ‘the most muscular machine Zetor has ever produced’, it will be marketed to owners of larger farms and contractors who want to expand their fleet ‘without having to remortgage their homes’.
