McHale Plant Sales spotlights contractor’s plant at forthcoming Grass & Muck Machinery Show

12 Apr , 2018

The growing role that agricultural contractors now play within the farming sector – with the now diverse machinery needs of the farming community generally – will be reflected in the emphasis that McHale Plant Sales will place on their portfolio of machinery and materials handling equipment at the forthcoming Grass and Muck machinery show taking place at Gurteen Agricultural College next month.

Occupying pole position on their stand will be one of the new arrivals from the expanding Komatsu range, plus a number of units from the highly versatile Merlo telehandler range.

From Komatsu, pride of place will go to the very latest WA320-8 wheel loader which will be exhibiting to farmers here in Ireland for the first time.

With its worksite-bred pedigree, the heavy-lifting WA320 is proving to be a sturdy and reliable machine popular amongst silage contractors and grain producers alike. Fully configured for agricultural use, its interchangeable front bucket or forks transform it into a machine equally at home in the grain store and silage pit, or lifting and loading straw, hay and silage bales.

Three other eye-catchers sharing space with it on the McHale stand will be a Merlo P27.6 telehandler and the distinctive Merlo TF33.7-115 and TF42.7-140 Turbofarmers – both highly-versatile machines straddling the divide between tractor and heavy load lifter. Festooned with safety items, driver comforts and operational features, Merlo machines enjoy a solid reputation that McHale general manager, Denis McGrath says: “is as long and far-reaching as the telescopic booms that make them work”.
