Damien Ryan Contracts Ltd is a family owned business successfully owned and ran by two directors Damien Ryan and Pauline Ryan.
Damien Ryan Contracts Ltd, an All Star Business accredited company provides general building services both for the agricultural, commercial and residential markets. Operating from their office in South Mayo, they are committed to the highest standards of safety, quality and sustainability and have earned a reputation of delivering outstanding quality projects which meet and exceed their client’s expectations.
“Our business is positioned into two main areas,” explains Nicola. “One is provider of CE Marked structural steel to the commercial, agricultural and residential markets. We are very well known for our top class construction and completion of farm buildings.
“We also are Ireland’s leading Deep Retrofit Contractor under the SEAI providing External Wall, Cavity Wall and attic insulation, heat pumps, solar panels, and window and door replacements to ensure the residents’ homes are much warmer and more cost efficient to run.”
Though all farm buildings may be similar, there are many factors and individual needs to be taken into consideration, as no two sites or circumstances are ever the same. At Damien Ryan Contracts Ltd it’s a team effort. Nicola is the client’s first point of call when they ring into the office with an inquiry. Then Martin our project manager who has been with the company for 10 years who has extensive knowledge guides the client and assists them with their needs.
Out on site Damien manages the employees and gets stuck in as required. Damien ensures that the job gets done to the standard required while ensuring the staff and client is happy.
“We are currently undergoing a marketing drive, which has proven to be very successful,” stated Nicola who promotes the company on social media outlets and takes the lead on other marketing drives.
“Social media is huge these days and we have attracted a lot of work through our Facebook page. We have worked very hard on our website redesign so clients can view the portfolio of works we have carried out to date and the scale of them.”
While a lot of the work they do is to grant specification standard, they also carry out non grant work also.
“In our opinion the grants available for the construction of the farm building are very attractive to many clients.
“Working within budget and on time are two goals that the team always strive for.”
Health & Safety is a key area of the business and Nicola revealed that they place great emphasis on this as the safety of their employees is paramount.
“Yes, health and safety would be taken very seriously by everyone in the company. We have protocols in place that are adhered to by all employees’ right through the company. We have Covid-19 procedures in place also and the aim is to get everyone home safe to their families on a daily basis.”
All of the materials used by the company are of the highest standard with their steel all having the CE certified mark, while they are an approved installer of Cavity Wall Insulation, Bonded Bead (NSAI).
